Background

Pride & Joy performs a wide variety of music at wedding receptions, corporate events, and functions throughout New England. They have become one of Maine's most popular and versatile musical groups. Pride & Joy is a 4-piece band and they have been performing together since 1995.

The members of Pride & Joy are Don Pride, Steve Footer, Jon Schomaker and Carl Menard. Each member brings a wealth of performing experience to the band. Maintaining appropriate volume levels at all times, "reading the crowd" and just having fun with the people are also important parts of what they offer. The variety of backgrounds each member brings to the band accounts for the varied styles the band plays. Pride & Joy plays many different types of popular music: Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Rock-n-Roll, Funk, Disco, 80's hits and even ethnic and seasonal selections. The band offers something for every age group, including music from the 40's to the popular hits of today. All of this is wrapped up in a positive family-friendly show that all can enjoy.
